Is Jesus Our Savior?

One of the things people often question is why important biblical truths are thrown out for the sake of expediency, particularly when they deal with the Hebrew writings. However, the question becomes - what replaced these truths, and by whom? If we identify someone by their actions then there must be a significant degree of truthfulness in determining a correct identity.

Mainstream Christianity states that Jesus did away with the Old Testament. This statement is true,
but Yah'shua upheld it (Mat

Jesus was nailed to a cross.
But Yah'shua was impaled to a living tree (Lu 23:31; 1st Pet 2:24; Rev 2:7).

Jesus died on a Friday.
But Yah'shua died on a Wednesday (Dan 9:27).

Jesus was raised from the dead in a day and a half.
But Yah'shua was raised after 72 hours - three full days (Mat 27:63;Mk 8:31).
Incidentally, this is the only actual proof of His legitimacy (Mat 12:39-40), and if it is wrong, then authenticity is questionable.

Jesus was raised at Sunday sunrise.
But Yah'shua was raised at Sabbath's ending sunset.

Jesus is generally shown as a weak European.
But Yah'shua was Middle-Eastern, & a powerful laborer (Mk 6:3, Jn 2:15-and these tables were heavy duty, capable of supporting livestock and a lot of abuse, probably weighing several hundred pounds!).

Jesus is seen with long hair.
But Yah'shua had His hair trimmed (Ezek 44:20). The hair thing is usually stated this way: ...the reason they say Jesus had long hair was because he was a Nazarene and they all believed in having long hair. Jesus may have had long hair, however, Yah'shua didn't. A Nazarene was someone from Nazareth, but a Nazarite was someone under a Nazarite vow (Num 6:1-21) and prohibited from drinking anything from the fruit of the vine. Since the true Messiah, Yah'shua, not only made quite a bit of wine (which a Nazarite would not do), but also drank the fruit of the vine (Mat 26:29;Mk 14:25; Lu 22:18), He could not have been under a Nazarite vow, thus not a Nazarite, and no long hair. For a man to have long hair appearing to be under a Nazarite vow would be a deception, and therefore shameful (1st Cor 11:14). Pictures and statuary from that time depict men with short hair as the norm (Hollywood excepted). Continuing...

Traditionally, Jesus initiated Sunday worship.
But Yah'shua observed the Jewish Sabbath (Lu 4:16).

Jesus seems to change with each circumstance.
But Yah'shua is the same, yesterday, today, and forever!

Jesus either cannot or will not save all of humanity.
But Yah'shua has all power and authority so that He can and does! "For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living YAHWEH, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe." [1st Tim 4:10] What does this mean?

It means the larger picture begs the question, what is truth? 1st John 2:21 says "NO lie is of the truth". So how can so many un-truths, i.e. lies, be used to identify someone in whom you are expected to place your full trust, confidence, and faith? Or doesn't truth matter? Is it okay to lie about the very One Who died for our sins?

We know that Satan is the father of lies, but we are told in John 4:23-34 that we are to worship YAHWEH the Father in spirit AND truth! So are we to believe that The Spirit would lead us into such errors? YAHWEH forbid! John 16:13 specifically states that The Spirit of Truth will guide into ALL truth. And since it is impossible for YAHWEH to lie (Heb 6:18), and that there is a tremendous amount of error in Christianity, we are left to consider that the spirit of lies is initiated by the one whom the lies support. Who is that?

Doesn't 2nd Cor 11:4 show that there were counterfeits, or imposters masquerading as the real Messiah? Of course it does! Doesn't Satan deceive the world (Rev 12:9)? Absolutely! Isn't the danger actually from those claiming Him as Messiah? Yes! He said that False prophets, i.e. preachers, come in sheep's clothing, i.e. that they appear religious, meek, humble and harmless, but inwardly they are ravening wolves (Mat 7:15)! And again we are warned that many will come claiming He is the Anointed One, and they are the deceivers who lead many astray (Mat 24:4-5,11,24)

How then could anyone tell the difference between the real Messiah and an imposter? By being emotional, trusting in our own feelings, or by looking at the facts and determining the truth? What is Truth? Yah'shua said in John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." So, based on TRUTH, i.e. the Word of YAHWEH, who is the imposter, and who is the real Savior - Jesus or Yah'shua? Only Rabbi Yah'shua stands out as The One identified by the Word of YAHWEH as the true Messiah!

What is Our Concern?

Christianity teaches that we are all God's children, and the imposition upon true believers is to do the same. Should we, as the body of Messiah, also consider everyone Yahweh's child?

The answer is definitely not! Rabbi Yah'shua said of some:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." [John 8:44(-49)]

Note that Rabbi Yah'shua clearly pointed to following their own lusts, and not abiding in truth, as the underlying cause of their hard heartedness. Only those doing YAHWEH'S will, following Him, i.e. those that are His, are His children (Mat 12:47-50). Liars, and all those under the dominion of Satan, cannot be considered children of YAHWEH. We are told in Rev 21:8 that liars have their part in the lake of fire, and with the rest of the unrighteous, are prevented from inheriting the Kingdom of YAHWEH. (1Cor 6:9)

Where Is Your Focus?

If people want the benefit of YAHWEH'S love, healing and protection, i.e. to really be His child, they are to come out of the world and any false religion they are engaged in.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. [Rev 18:4]

If we continue reaching back into the world, we are not looking forward. We are warned that looking back tends to draw us back in that direction and eventually ensnares us again. Of Israel it is written:

And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. [Hebrews 11:15]

So we too, if we continue looking to our past, to the old self that was supposedly buried in baptism, or if we continue looking to the world for where we should be going, we will end up being drawn backward.

Messiah said "...No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of YAHWEH."

Pay attention, He said LOOKING BACK...not returning to! Just letting your thoughts dwell in that direction will disqualify you from the first resurrection! We should always bear in mind that we must keep strict watch on our thoughts!

We know that the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. So any yielding to our old ways, or simply not putting them aside because we are comfortable and familiar with them, can spell disaster.

For the word of YAHWEH is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [Hebrews 4:12]

Since we are prone to self-deception, it behooves us to search the scriptures to understand what we need to be doing. Being cozy with the world is dangerous as Matthew 13:22 tells us:

"He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful."

Indeed, the parable of the tares is sobering if we consider that only 1 in 4 seeds survived!

In being mindful of what is in our heart, "for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" (Mat 12:34; Lu 6:45), we need to remember to think on good things as Paul instructs:

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. [Phil4:8]

That also means looking forward, not backward:

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of YAHWEH in Messiah YahwehShua. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, YAHWEH shall reveal even this unto you. [Phil 3:13-15]

Who Is The Master Concerned With?

Rabbi Yah'shua is not concerned with the world, but only those that are His. Listen to His reason for speaking in parables:

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
... Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. [Mat 13:10-15]

You were probably told that He spoke in parables to make things understandable, right? It is a common Christian understanding. But that isn't true! He intentionally spoke in parables so they would NOT understand, be converted or healed! If they didn't understand then they could not be converted, so He intentionally shut them out! Likewise, only those given to understand COULD be converted & healed! So, who was willing to do the Father's will?

Yahweh only gives the Holy Spirit to those who are willing to obey Him (Acts 5:32). We also know that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as idolatry (1Sam 15:23). If people are rebellious and stubborn in rejecting Him and not willing to obey Him, why would He want to have anything to do with them? So who do we want to be with, those in the world, or those in His house?

And Yah'shua answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the evangel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. [Mark 10:29-30]

Surely we are not expected to give up our own families, are we? Well, the question isn't whether we will, but if we are willing. Being tied to unbelievers so closely and not willing to leave them, or even upset them, can cause a problem. Suppose you were expected to attend your Dad's funeral, but it conflicted with obeying YAHWEH? There is nothing that will cause family member to become so irate and given to grudges than putting a religion, i.e. YAHWEH, before the family! How would you have answered?

And another of his disciples said unto him, Master, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

That certainly sounds like a reasonable request, doesn't it? Surely The Master would allow you to take care of your family, wouldn't you think? Well, here is His answer:

But Yah'shua said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. [Mat 8: 21-22]

Incredible! Our Sovereign and Savior considers unbelievers DEAD! Are you better than He? Do you think you are more compassionate, more understanding, more loving than your Savior? Obviously His thoughts are not your thoughts, and His ways are not you ways

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith YAHWEH. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. [Isa 55:8-9]

If YAHWEH could deny Adam and Eve access to the tree of life for their disobedience, why should he do anything else for people today?

The key is in knowing and doing His Will - if you understand it! Do you know what He expects? Do you understand His word, or do you judge by how you feel? Is your heart set to please Him and do His Will, or your own?

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. [Isa 55:11]

So, how involved with unbelievers should we be - even if they are members of our own flesh and blood family?

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Messiah with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of Elohim with idols? for ye are the temple of the living YAHWEH; as Elohim hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith YAHWEH, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the YAHWEH El Shadai. [2Cor 6:14-18]

How much influence do the unconverted members of our family exert over us? Are we made to feel guilty for not catering to their expectations? Where do we draw the line? It must be drawn somewhere! Of course, defiling ourselves with the unclean isn't going to paint a pretty picture in the Day of Judgement! We need to understand that being separate is what being sanctified is all about! And if you have covenanted with YAHWEH through His Son, you ought to know that judgment is NOW upon the house of YAHWEH! There isn't any second chance! Be careful about how far out you draw that line!

What about Christianity?

First, we need to understand that there were other saviors preached besides the true Messiah even in the early first century.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Yah'shua, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another evangel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. [2 Corinthians 11:4]

John clarifies:

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. [1 John 2:19]

They went out from the believers, but were not part of them. This is probably referring to Simon of Samaria, who was baptized (Acts 8:13) but did not receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:15-21). Simon abruptly disappears from the scene, and apparently went to Rome and opened a new religion within two years (33CE) of Yah'shua's impalement (31CE), a combination of the old mystery religion that he had been promoting, and the new Messianic Judaism that was sweeping the region.

Since Simon of Samaria was probably the first to go to Rome, he was would naturally be considered the firstling, or PETER (f/ Hebrew rj,P, peter {peh'-ter}, Strong's #6363), thus becoming the "Simon PETER" that founded the Christian Church of Rome. The Apostle Peter actually went to Babylon (1st Peter 5:13), and was never in Rome. However, the similarity in names made it convenient to build on the Apostle Peter's reputation and primacy, and eventually the Church of Rome assumed dominance over the expanding Jewish sect. Remember, though, that Simon, the Magician of Samaria, was an APOSTATE devoid of the Holy Spirit!

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. [Mat 7:15-20]

The savior he preached and the church he founded were illegitimate copies of the true faith! Understand that Christianity gets it's savior from Simon Magus, therefore their Jesus is not the savior, and Christianity is not of YAHWEH! Regardless of any similarities, the heart and core of Christianity is from the angel of light, Heylel, also known as "God", the adversary, and Satan the Devil!

Do not be disheartened, or sink into "what about" or "what if" speculation. These folks are not "lost". However, let YAHWEH deal with them in His own way, and you pay attention to what He is doing with you. It is easy to let your heart become overwhelmed with anxiety when you stop following the example of our Savior.

In Yah'shua's prayer (John 15) twice he said He wasn't praying for the world, or anyone in any other religion, but only for those who were called to be inheritors of the Kingdom. He wasn't concerned about what was happening in the lives of non-believers! So neither should you!

What do we think of someone who refused to help others? Should they be condemned? Well, before you unjustly condemn the innocent, let's look at Yah'shua's example.

Is Messiah concerned with saving everyone? Do you think Rabbi Yah'shua was all sweet and charitable the way Christianity portrays their savior? No, he wasn't! A woman with a demon possessed child came to Him asking for help and He refused! Not only did He refuse, He insulted her in the process!

Mt 15: 21 Then Yah'shua went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Sovereign, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Master, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Most people would have bent over backwards to help this woman, and roundly condemned anyone who wouldn't. Would you condemn the King of Kings? Or might there be a flaw in your understanding? But this woman wouldn't quit:

27 And she said, Truth, Master: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

28 Then Yah'shua answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Yes, the woman's daughter was healed, but not willingly. Why? Because we are told that

"He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of The Almighty, even to them that believe on his name:" [John 1:11-12]

YahwehShua is not concerned with anyone except those who are following Him! So don't let yourself get wrapped up in others’ affairs!

Being Partakers of Their Sins

Should we pray for Christians when they ask us to pray for them or their loved ones? First, remember what Christianity is - an APOSTATE religion!

The mistake believers usually make is a continuation of the falsehood that "we are all His children". Clearly, those who follow lies, as the Pharisees did, are not the children of YAHWEH. So, in praying for the unbelieving according to their requests, we become partakers of their sins.

Why? Because help and healing is done to glorify YAHWEH'S great name, not just to alleviate suffering. When Christians ask you to pray, they are not giving glory to YAHWEH, but to God! When you comply with their request, you are doing THEIR will, not YAHWEH'S will! We perpetuate their false beliefs and indirectly give glory to their Deity!

YAHWEH'S primary concern is in His calling to salvation, not whether people are suffering or dying. However, we can pray according YAHWEH'S will as long as we are focusing on glorifying His Name! Be reasonable! Bear in mind this must result or at least have the potential to result in conversion. Therefore, the person's mind and heart must be open to His truth. If, however, their heart and mind are not open, and they are giving glory to a false deity, then it would be inappropriate to pray for their request as they presented it. It is better to decline so you don't appear to be acting as a Christian, or to make a clear distinction by informing them that you will pray only to YAHWEH according to His Will.

Remember when Balak tried to get Balaam to pray for him in placing a curse on Israel (Num 22)? First, Balaam could only pray according to YAHWEH'S will, and second, even though Balaam was given permission to go he should have known that it was against YAHWEH'S will in the first place (Gen 27:29), which is why YAHWEH was angry over the situation. In my opinion, knowing that a person is only giving to glory to God, rather than YAHWEH, it seems expedient to abstain rather than to cast doubt upon YAHWEH'S power or the efficacy of His Name.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto YAHWEH,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth."
